How to Make a
Minecraft Server
Making your own Minecraft server is easier than it looks. Here's the whole process in 5 steps — no jargon.
1. Pick your edition
Java Edition (PC) supports the most mods and plugins; Bedrock is for console/mobile/Windows crossplay. Most custom servers use Java.
